When there seems as though there is too much to do, too many projects to complete and too big of an obstacle to surmount there is a tendency to shrink, throw one’s hands in the air and cry that it’s all too much.

This is a common cry from people of all walks of life.

In these times I suggest that it is the time to be proactive. Going on the front foot, taking action and empowering yourself can be a very useful strategy.

So, in the theme of easily implementable steps that you can employ to empower yourself, your business, household, practice or whatever domain you have challenges in let’s look at the essential elements of empowerment and their affect on your life.

If the mountain of ‘stuff’ is to be meaningfully handled it must be done in an easy and relatively effortless manner.
Now, it may seem so obvious but it is often overlooked that to get anywhere you must start from where you are and take one step at a time.

When you think about it, where you are is the only place you CAN really start but how often do you find yourself going out into the future and making plans instead of doing what you can do in the next moment? Know that it is only in the present that you can make a difference, even if it is only moving you forward a tiny little step, just getting one action completed that moves you towards your goal, it is significant and you will feel it.

So, accept your present state with all of its foibles and weird habits, perceptions, understandings, strengths and weaknesses. Know that you have enough information and skill to take the next step. It is not a matter of adding anything else.

So take one step in the direction of your vision in the next moment, do one action step and watch your accomplishments start to mount up.
